Spring Has Sprung on Amelia River Cruises!

February 28, 2011

Spring has definitely sprung on the river!!!  Our first baby of the 2011 season – Ethan!! has arrived…three weeks old and stunning white blaze down his face.  Still curious enough to stand still as a statue and stare at us as we sail by :)

First alligator spotted up the Cumberland River near Greyfield Inn and baby dolphins popping too!

Lots of new tours this spring and summer – call the office for more information about 3-hour Eco-Tours slated for summer, added afternoon tours post-Daylight Savings Time change, and newly-launched  Discovery Tours offering day-long excursions to unique destination throughout southeast Georgia and northeast Florida.

New web site just about ready as well – check back mid-March to see the new www.ameliarivercruises.com!

A Summer of Baby Horses and Beautiful Stuff!

October 7, 2010

Hard to imagine anything more beautiful or inspiring than seeing 14 new foals born into the wild on Cumberland Island; let alone the amazing landscape that is rustically beautiful northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.  A wealth of birdlife, dolphins being born, tons of Osprey and more Bald Eagles than we’ve seen in a while telling us the environment is “hangin’ in”…

What a great summer of 2010 we’ve had and hoping that winter is kinder than the last…
